Helping to advance a field you care about
There are two reasons we are trying to keep membership costs as cheap as possible. One is that we want to keep the advantages of membership affordable for as many people as possible. The other is that we suspect most people who join, particularly during the early days, will be doing so out of a sense of commitment to environmental studies and sciences, and to understanding and helping to solve genuine environmental problems. We are stronger together than we are individually. Still, even at these cheap rates, members get to enjoy a number of advantages on top of the feeling of satisfaction that comes with supporting a cause you care about.
