Frequently Asked Questions

Conference Registration:

Check-In for the conference will take place at the Davis Center in Scarlet Oak Lounge on the 3rd Floor, at the entrance to the main steps to the fourth floor conference center rooms.  At registration you will receive any meal tickets you have ordered as well as the conference program book.  The registration desk for the conference will be open:

 Thursday, June 23rd: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

 Friday, June 24th: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 Saturday, June 25th: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Arriving at the Burlington Airport:

Upon arriving at Burlington International Airport, if you will not be renting a vehicle and you will be staying at a residence hall at UVM you will need to take a taxi to the University Heights North Complex on campus (please see map link listed below).  If you are staying at one of the conference hotels, the taxi ride should be 10 – 15 minutes and run under $20.00.  Taxis should be waiting in front of the airport; several taxi companies service the airport so if one isn’t immediately available please wait until one arrives.  Also, most of the area hotels do have airport shuttles that will pick you up at the airport.  There will be a phone for these hotels near the bagged claim, at the airport, that you can use to schedule your pick up.  The address of University Heights North Complex, housing check-in location, is listed below:

Housing Check-In:

Check-in for overnight accommodations, at the University of Vermont, will be at the front desk in University Heights North Complex.  There will be a conference assistant at the desk to help you check-in between 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.  If you are checking in after 10:00 p.m. there will be a phone and phone number, which is 802-656-5550 for an on call conference assistant, located outside the University Heights North Complex.  Someone will come to assist you. Parking:

If you requested a parking permit on your registration you will be parking in the Gutterson Parking Lot (please refer to the map link).  You will be receiving your parking permit before the conference via email.  Please print a copy of the permit and display it on your dashboard while on campus.    


UVM’s Fitness Center:

 If you registered for a fitness center pass you will a pass to the fitness center in your registration materials that you receive at on-site registration at the Davis Center.  At the front desk of the Fitness Center please tell the staff member your name, state what group you are with and also show your temporary fitness center pass.  The fitness center hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Internet on Campus:       

There is wireless internet throughout the majority of campus.  Participants will need a temporary username and password to access the wireless internet, which will be given upon arrival – either at housing check-in for those staying on campus or at the conference check-in for those staying off campus. Wireless internet is not available in overnight rooms, but is available in the lobby and lounges of the building.  Please bring an Ethernet cable to connect to the wired network in your room as only a limited number of cables, lent on a first-come-first-serve basis, are available at the front desk of University Heights North.
